Sweet orange essential oil  is derived from an evergreen tree. It is smaller than the bitter orange tree with a sweet pulp and no bitter membrane.

Common uses: Sweet orange essential oil is used as an antiseptic, deodorant, digestive, stimulant, tonic.

Blends well with: lavender, clary sage, myrrh, sandalwood, spice oils.

Aromatic scent: Sweet, citrus smell much like the peel from which it is derived, but much more intense.

History: It is believed sweet orange was brought to Europe by the Arabs in the 1st century along with bitter orange.

Cautions: Very potent and not to be used on sensitive skin. Avoid use during pregnancy.
